a long hard day....

Ally's surgery went much longer than expected! It was supposed to be a 2 hour surgery, and it turned into a 5 hour surgery. Dr. Waner said once he got in he found that the hemangioma was much larger and more invasive than they initially thought. They ended up doing surgery on the back of her neck, her chin, the inside and outside of her lip, behind the ear, and laser on her temple and chin. Which was much more than they had planned on doing. But, Dr. Waner knows we travel very far for these surgeries, and that we pay out of pocket for them since our insurance won't cover them. We are very lucky to have such a compassionate doctor!

Ally has about 100 stitches that have to be removed at all different times. So, needless to say the next 2 weeks are going to be super busy!!

Ally is currently resting on the couch watching her favorite disney shows and eating cookie dough ice cream! She is actually on her second bowl, and already asked for another one! But, don't worry I am drawing the line at 2 for now. :)

Please pray that she heals quickly! She is having a pretty tough time right now, and needs all the prayers and good thoughts she can get!! I will update again tomorrow! Ally sends her love to you all!
