Back to NYC

Yes, thats right we are headed back to NY, and much sooner than expected!

We have been in touch off and on with Dr. Waner's office sending photos back and forth, and checking in over the phone. Dr. Waner feels that Ally's eye is not healing on it's own, and needs attention. The swelling caused by Micah's blow to the eye after surgery is not going down, and there is still a hard mass under her eye. This is causing the corner of her eye to be pulled open and down. Poor Ally! Nothing comes easy for my little girl.

Lucky for us Dr. Waner knows an excellent eye surgeon who is willing to fly in and help with the surgery. His name is Dr. Fay. On top of that Dr. Waner is covering Dr. Fay's surgery costs for us! AMAZING! We are so blessed! We will now have 4 of the best doctors attending Ally's surgery. Jason calls them " the dream team", and I agree with him.

Ally's surgery is planned for Feb. 19th, and we will leave for the east coast a couple of days before that. We are unsure of all the details at this point. We are trying to get Ally's insurance to cover the surgery costs, but are unsure if this will happen. It is just road block after road block. Fortunately for us we have family willing to help us if this happens. We thank God for each and everyone of you! We couldn't do this alone.

On a lighter note... the girls are selling girl scout cookies right now. They are raising money for their troops, and earning patches. They are so excited about this. We will be calling everyone soon to see if you are interested. The girls have also been busy with their swimming class twice a week. ( in the indoor pool) They are really starting to take to the water! Which is a big relief for me after all these years of them refusing to get in it. Ally is also doing very well in her music classes. She got the next size up in violin, so that made her happy. She has her first concert coming up, but I think we will be in NYC, so she will just have to wait for the next one in April.

Thanks again for all your prayers and support! Please continue to pray for Ally. She is really scared as the last surgery is still fresh in her memory, and we could use all the support we can get!
