Preparing for New York

Hi Everyone! We wanted to start this blog so we could keep everyone up to date on Ally's surgeries. I will try to post information as often as I can during our trips. It is hard to find time to sit down and make phone call, and write emails to everyone. We thought this may make it a little easier to keep everyone informed. We want to thank you all for your support over the years, and for hanging in there with us! We are so excited that the time has finally come for Ally to get the help we have been seeking for so many years!

Now for a current update. We are in the planning stages of going to New York to finally meet with Dr. Waner, and hopefully starting with the first surgery on Oct. 13, 2009. We are currently waiting to find out what the hospital costs are going to be, and what they would like to do during the first surgery. As some of you know the insurance has denied Ally's request for treatment. Fortunately for us Dr. Waner has generously proposed a plan which would only charge us for supplies and equipment. We are so fortunate to have found such a caring Doctor who has the most supportive staff I have ever dealt with.

We are currently trying to pull our money together, buy plane tickets, and make plans for our trip out East. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more news.

Thanks again for your support!!!!!

  2. Really beautiful little girl! I can relate. My Katharine went through major surgery 11 times and it never got easier!! Ally and the family will come through just fine!! Our thoughts are with her and I look forward to tracking her journey.
